Fontbonne nailed the game-winning goal in the 84th minute via a shot from Zack Lyeki.
The loss marks the end of an impressive 12-9 record for the 2021 season. The mark ties the previous record for season wins set back in the early 2000s.
Head coach Rob Steinkuehler will begin the offseason process in hopes of continuing what he created this season.
The team will resume action shortly after the new year as part of their spring season.
