Illinois hotels report record revenues for FY23

CHICAGO (Capitol News Illinois) – For hoteliers, business is booming in Illinois. On Monday, Gov. JB Pritzker, the state’s legislative leadership and representatives of the hospitality industry announced that hotels in Illinois saw record revenues in fiscal year 2023, which ended June 30. NOKOMIS -- For the past two seasons, the Nokomis football team was independent following the dissolution of the Prairie State Conference. This season is different due to being accepted into the Lincoln Prairie Conference. Two arrested in Nokomis drug bust

NOKOMIS -- A Nokomis woman and a Hillsboro man are in jail following a drug bust at a local business. Following an investigation stemming from an investigation, Nokomis Police served a search warrant on Wednesday, June 28. The warrant was serviced at Front Street Pub, 124 W. DECATUR -- A corrections officer in Macon County is now on the other side of the bars following an arrest. Adam Goodbrake of Decatur is in jail on a preliminary charge of "unlawful delivery of firearms to a felon," according to Sheriff Jim Root. Goodbrake, 25, faces accusations of illegally storing weapons for a felon he met who was in incarceration at the jail.
