New York Mets choose Rojas to replace Carlos Beltran as manager

NEW YORK (UPI) -- A week after parting ways with Carlos Beltran, the New York Mets officially hired Luis Rojas as their next manager, the team announced Thursday. Carlos Beltran ends 20-year career, announces retirement following World Series win

HOUSTON (UPI) -- Outfielder Carlos Beltran announced his retirement after a 20-year major league career, going out on top by winning his first World Series championship with the Houston Astros.
