Bison signs Porter in series of transactions

BLOOMINGTON -- Bloomington Bison Head Coach and VP of Hockey Operations Phillip Barski announced Thursday that the team has signed forward Grant Porter to a standard player contract. BLOOMINGTON -- The temperatures were extremely cold this past weekend. However, that did not stop the Bloomington Bison from holding its three-game homestand at Grossinger Motors Arena. BLOOMINGTON -- This weekend's games between the Bloomington Bison and the Iowa Heartlanders have been postponed. The Bison front office announced the news in a news release Saturday. BLOOMINGTON -- Darren Yorke, general manager of the Chicago Wolves and assistant GM of the Carolina Hurricanes, announced Tuesday that the Hurricanes have reassigned defenseman Bryce Montgomery from the Wolves to the Bison.
