Chevron shares flat after revenue beats estimates, profits rise from a year ago

SAN RAMON, Calif. (Heartland Newsfeed) -- Chevron on Friday reported quarterly profits and revenues that beat Wall Street's expectations as the company cut costs and as oil and gas prices and refining margins improved. Shares of Chevron were up more than 1 percent after the announcement. Ray Downs, United Press International Writer WASHINGTON (UPI) -- The House approved a $788 billion national security bill Thursday that includes $1.6 billion towards a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. 1 dead, several injured after ride malfunction at Ohio State Fair

Ray Downs, United Press International Writer COLUMBUS, Ohio (UPI) -- At least one man was killed and seven were injured after a ride malfunctioned at the Ohio State Fair Wednesday, authorities said. The Columbus Fire Division said the riders were thrown from the Fire Ball ride on Wednesday night, reported the Columbus Dispatch. The dead man was killed immediately, officials said.
