Starbucks to close all 379 Teavana locations

House passes spending bill with $1.6 billion to begin border wall

Ray Downs, United Press International Writer WASHINGTON (UPI) -- The House approved a $788 billion national security bill Thursday that includes $1.6 billion towards a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. The bill, which passed along mostly party lines, 235-192, mostly allocates money for programs other than beginning construction of the wall -- including energy, water, defense, the Army Corps of Engineers, and implementing a 5% raise in veteran's programs. Pestano, United Press International Writer WASHINGTON (UPI) -- The U.S. Department of State has warned people traveling to Mexico about possibly tainted or substandard alcohol, and to drink responsibly after the death of a Wisconsin woman. 1 dead, several injured after ride malfunction at Ohio State Fair

Ray Downs, United Press International Writer COLUMBUS, Ohio (UPI) -- At least one man was killed and seven were injured after a ride malfunctioned at the Ohio State Fair Wednesday, authorities said. Income tax hike will cost Christian County residents $8.2 million more this year

TAYLORVILLE (Heartland Newsfeed) -- Christian County residents will pay an additional $8,197,968 in state income taxes this year, according to an analysis by Local Government Information Services (LGIS). LGIS combined Illinois Department of Revenue data with a forecast by Senate Democrats to estimate how much additional income tax will be paid in each Illinois zip code.
