61 cats recovered from Taylorville home

TAYLORVILLE -- A request for a well-being check and reports of large numbers of cats in the area led Taylorville Police Department (TPD) to seize 61 cats from a residence. Currently, these animals are being housed at the county’s animal control, but they do need varying degrees of medical care and other needs. SHELBYVILLE — A Pana man is facing charges after reportedly making fake terrorist threats. 40-year-old William H. Carnahan of Pana is facing two counts of falsely making terrorist threats, which is a Class 1 felony for both offenses. The news announcement came from the office of Shelby County State's Attorney Nichole Kroncke.
