JACKSONVILLE -- Iowa-based grocery chain Hy-Vee is coming to Jacksonville as the County Market store on West Morton Ave. was sold Thursday. It was confirmed via multiple sources, including WLDS, of the store's sale. The sale was later revealed to current County Market employees. TAYLORVILLE -- A former Illinois Capitol Police investigator involved in an April 2021 car wreck will be spending 18 years behind bars. Robert Hodson, 48, of Taylorville was involved in an accident in Christian County resulting in the deaths of two fellow Taylorville residents. The accident occurred along Illinois Route 48 near East 1550 North Road between Taylorville and Stonington Hodson pled guilty to a single charge of driving under the influence of alcohol in May. Blues sign Ratcliffe to pro tryout

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues president and general manager Doug Armstrong announced Thursday a new signing. The team has signed forward Isaac Ratcliffe, according to the news release. However, the signing is only for a professional tryout. Ratcliffe, 24, split last season between the AHL’s Lehigh Valley Phantoms and Milwaukee Admirals.
