Blues assign Lindstein, Stenberg to Springfield

ST. LOUIS — Two St. Louis Blues received their assignment papers to their AHL affiliate, per a news release from the team on Tuesday. That announcement came from the Blues‘ President of Hockey Operations and GM Doug Armstrong.

Defenseman Theo Lindstein and forward Otto Stenberg will be going to the Blues’ AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds. The assignment term length is not currently known.

Lindstein, 21, would appear in 17 games in St. Louis this season, posting three points (two goals, two assists) and six penalty minutes. The Gävle, Sweden, native tallies 56 appearances so far this season for the Thunderbirds, recording 14 points (six goals, eight assists) and 18 penalty minutes. Lindstein was a Blues draftee in the first round, 29th overall, of the 2023 NHL Draft.

Stenberg, 20, would appear in 32 games in St. Louis this season, logging 10 points (three goals, seven assists) and five penalty minutes. The Stenungsund, Sweden, native tallies 33 games for the Thunderbirds, tallying 15 points (four goals, 11 assists) and six penalty minutes. Stenberg was a Blues draftee in the first round (25th overall) of the 2023 NHL Draft.
