Stonington blood drive on November 16

STONINGTON — A Stonington Community Blood Drive with ImpactLife, the provider of blood components for local hospitals will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16 at Bayer/1982 IL Route 48, inside the Donor Bus.

To donate, please contact Jackie Dowdy at (217) 325-4381 or visit www.bloodcenter.org and use code 60049 to locate the drive. Donors may also call ImpactLife to schedule at (800) 747-5401. Appointments are requested.

Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age (16 with parental permission form available through www.bloodcenter.org) and weigh more than 110 pounds. A photo I.D. is required to donate. For questions about eligibility, please call ImpactLife at (800) 747-5401. Donors who last gave blood on or before Sept. 21, 2023 are eligible to give at this drive.

Blood donation is a safe, simple procedure that takes about 45 minutes to one hour. Individuals with diabetes or controlled high blood pressure may be accepted as eligible donors.

ImpactLife is the provider of blood and blood components to Pana Community Hospital and Taylorville Memorial Hospital. All donors will receive an ImpactLife Promo Voucher for either an e-gift Card from Target, Amazon, Home Depot, etc., or use bonus points in the online Donor Store for an ImpactLife Fall Sweatshirt.
