CHARLESTON — Eastern Illinois University‘s 2026 men’s soccer schedule is official, per a news release on Monday.
The Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) announced the Panthers’ 2026 conference matchups as part of the final schedule.
Last month, the team announced its non-conference schedule with four consecutive home matchups at Lakeside Field. That involves matches with Wright State, St. Thomas, Northern Illinois, and Bradley University.
The season kicks off with two exhibition matches, one against Lewis & Clark Community College on August 9 and Illinois-Chicago on August 15.
The conference schedule adds five matches at home and five away. Conference action begins on September 26 against Western Illinois.
The 2026 season marks the fourth season for the Panthers in the OVC.
Eight teams will vie for the conference championship, including affiliate members Texas-Rio Grande Valley, Houston Christian, and Incarnate Word. Houston Christian and Incarnate Word have been members since soccer first became a sanctioned sport in the OVC.
Full members Lindenwood, Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, Southern Indiana, and Western Illinois will also be seeking the title.
The conference schedule will see three teams being played twice and four teams only once. Match play will normally be on Thursdays and Sundays.
The OVC Men’s Soccer Championship will take place November 8, 11 & 14 in St. Charles, Missouri, at Lindenwood University. It marks the second-straight year the championship has been held at the venue.
