Nokomis Public Library news bulletin

NOKOMIS — Lincoln Land Community College will be at the Nokomis Public Library next week.

Representatives will be present at an informational table to answer any questions from prospective students.

Representatives will be able to discuss general information about the college, degree and certificate programs, advisory and financial aid appointments, and more.

LLCC will be at the library on Tuesday, February 10, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Coffee and Crafts returns

After the cancellation of the event last month due to severe winter weather, Coffee and Crafts is returning on Monday, February 9.

Participants will be making a treasure box for someone or something special.

The cost for the event is $5, and all supplies are provided.

Anyone wishing to participate should sign up by calling Nokomis Public Library by noon Saturday, February 7, at (217) 563-2734 or by dropping by the library before Saturday.

First National Bank of Nokomis donates to library

The First National Bank of Nokomis recently donated to the library for $500.

Bank employees pay to wear jeans on Friday. At the end of each fiscal quarter, the money raised gets donated back into the Nokomis community.
