NOKOMIS — The Nokomis Farmer’s Market will be moving to a new venue for the 2025 growing seasons, as well as being under new management through the Newkomis community organization.
The Farmer’s Markets will be held every Wednesday from May 14 to October 15 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and every Saturday from May 17 to October 11 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The semi-weekly event will be held at Fred B. Johnson Memorial Park in downtown Nokomis.
The official list of dates for the 2025 Farmer’s Markets is the following:
The event is open to the public. Local and regional producers of produce and non-produce products are welcome to participate. The fee is $10 for local growers, non-produce vendors, crafters, artisans, and large volume resellers. The fee proceeds are planned for use in an upcoming project for a local community garden.
There will be occasional events throughout the season where Farmer’s Market vendors can set up for free, including the June 7 Breakfast with the Beer Bellies event, which will be held on the 100 block of South Spruce Street. All other special events will be announced accordingly as they are scheduled.
Throughout the season, there may be some occasional entertainment on Wednesday evening markets. Announced concerts at this time include:
