The following is the Meals on Wheels calendar for December. Call the day before to reserve a meal: Litchfield (217) 324-3032, Hillsboro (217) 532-3662, and Morrisonville (217) 526-3621. Meals on Wheels is operated by the CEFS Economic Development Corporation and services Montgomery and Christian counties.
Friday, Dec. 1: Pork roast, glazed sweet potatoes, cooked cabbage, Waldorf salad, whole grain bread.
Monday, Dec. 4: Roast beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, mixed fruit, whole grain roll.
Tuesday, Dec. 5: Chili, crackers, cottage cheese, Asian cole slaw, chilled pears, cornbread.
Wednesday, Dec. 6: Italian chicken breast, cauliflower, corn, oranges with bananas and a roll.
Thursday, Dec. 7: Mac and cheese with ham, broccoli, tossed salad with tomatoes, salad dressing, warm peach crisp, whole grain bread.
Friday, Dec. 8: Oven-baked chicken, whipped potatoes, mixed vegetables, pineapple, roll.
Monday, Dec. 11: Pork chop, baby baker, green beans, tropical fruit.
Tuesday, Dec. 12: Country fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, California blend, apricots, whole grain bread.
Wednesday, Dec. 13: Fish sandwich on bun, au gratin potatoes, baked beans, strawberries with bananas.
Thursday, Dec. 14: Spaghetti with meat sauce, tossed salad with tomatoes, salad dressing, corn, hot cherry crisp.
Friday, Dec. 15: Turkey, sweet potatoes, peas, banana, whole grain roll.
Monday, Dec. 18: Beef stroganoff over noodles, beets, green beans, orange, whole grain roll.
Tuesday, Dec. 19: Pork cutlet, mashed potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower, apricots, biscuit.
Wednesday, Dec. 20: Seasoned beef patty, whipped potatoes, black eyed peas, apple cake with cream cheese icing.
Thursday, Dec. 21: BBQ chicken breast, rice pilaf, peas and carrots, stewed tomatoes, cinnamon applesauce.
Friday, Dec. 22: Ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, gourmet carrots, creamy cole slaw, roll, cherry delight.
Monday, Dec. 25 and Tuesday, Dec. 26: Closed for Christmas holiday.
Wednesday, Dec. 27: Grilled chicken tenderloin, cheesy rice with broccoli, hot stewed tomatoes, fruit cocktail, whole grain bread.
Thursday, Dec. 28: Ballpark frank on bun, roasted red potatoes, green beans, JELL-O with fruit.
Friday, Dec. 29: Ham and beans, cole slaw, beets, peaches, cornbread.
