TAYLORVILLE — The following are arrest and accident reports as recorded by the Taylorville Police Department and the Christian County Sheriff’s Department. The blotter is as follows:
October 20: ACCIDENT – A vehicle driven by Kimberly Carrell, no age or address reported, was southbound on 1600E Road near 400N Road when a deer entered the roadway. The vehicle was unable to avoid striking the deer, and it sustained damage to the front end. The vehicle was driven from the scene, and no injuries were reported.
October 20: ACCIDENT – A vehicle driven by Benjamen Gaddis, no age or address reported, was eastbound on 1100N Road when a deer jumped onto the road, hitting the car in the front bumper in Assumption Township at about 2400E Road. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was driven from the scene.
October 20: ARRESTS – A male juvenile, 16, Taylorville, was arrested for aggravated assault and criminal damage. Hayley N. Hull, 30, Bulpitt, was arrested for retail theft.
October 21: ACCIDENT – A vehicle driven by Royal Jackson, no age or address reported, was eastbound on 1350N Road near 2049E Road when a deer entered the roadway. The vehicle struck the deer and sustained damage to the front end but was able to be driven from the scene. No injuries were reported.
October 21: ACCIDENT – A Quincy driver was ticketed by Taylorville police following a traffic accident in the construction zone on the bridge at Illinois Route 29 at 10:21 a.m. According to the report, a car driven by Leanne L. Hivley, 52, of Quincy, was southbound on the highway through the construction zone, failed to reduce speed, and collided with the rear end of a pickup truck, driven by Robert J. Stephens, 73, of Taylorville, which was stopped in traffic. In turn, the force of the impact caused the pickup truck to strike the rear end of a utility vehicle, driven by Verdale V. Marquardt, 58, of Quincy. The Stephens and Marquardt vehicles sustained minor damage while there was major damage to the front of the Hivley car. Hivley was taken by ambulance to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for evaluation. She was also ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
October 22: ACCIDENT – A vehicle driven by Keyosha Jackson, no age or address reported, was southbound on 2525E Road when the driver said she lost control while turning west onto 2000N and struck the ditch on the north side of 2000N. The vehicle sustained damage to the front end and was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.
October 22: ACCIDENT – A vehicle driven by Todd Richter, no age or address reported, was southbound on Township Road 1950E at about 311N in Pana Township when it struck the back of a vehicle, which was parked off the roadway. The vehicle was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.
October 24: ARRESTS – Corey O. Inman, 38, Springfield, was arrested for retail theft. Cameron L. Horve, 27, Macon, was arrested for retail theft. Jamie L. Miller, 46, Decatur, was arrested for retail theft.
October 25: ARRESTS – Chad Hull, 37, Bulpitt, was arrested by Kincaid police for violating an order of protection. Casey Conaway, 30, Edinburg was arrested by Kincaid police for domestic battery. Amanda D. Johanningmeier, 32, Taylorville, was arrested for criminal trespassing. Jayden F. Snow, 22, Pana, was arrested on an active warrant.
