ORLANDO, Fla. — It was revealed that World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) chairman and CEO Vince McMahon did indeed make it to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.
A report from Fightful Select Friday reveals that McMahon did make this appearance on Thursday as initially reported, but he wasn’t alone in making appearances.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson revealed that WWE president and chief revenue officer Nick Khan, executive director of creative Bruce Prichard, and general manager of talent relations John Laurinaitis were in attendance. However, that revealing has yet to be confirmed as of the time of our report.
However, Fightful has heard from several sources from the Performance Center, many expressing being extremely nervous about the visit. The concerns are relating to staffing cuts and firings during much of the COVID-19 pandemic; therefore, several wrestlers feared they would be next on the chopping block.
Fortunately, the sources told Fightful that most talent rarely saw McMahon and only caught a short glimpse of him there. A couple of wrestlers attested that they made themselves nervous for no apparent reason.
There was no requirement for all talent from NXT and the Performance Center to be in attendance Thursday, so some people have no clue what transpired.
Any further action from Human Resources in the coming months is difficult to tell at this time.
