SPRINGFIELD — Distance learners and students uncertain about attending classes in-person across mid-Illinois are getting some good news from Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC).
LLCC is slashing its online class fee by 50 percent for the fall 2020 semester.
Normally set for $39.74 per credit hour, the change makes it $19.87 per credit hour for the upcoming semester.
“Cutting the online fee by 50% can save students hundreds of dollars in these uncertain financial times,” states LLCC President Dr. Charlotte Warren, Ph.D. “As always, we will provide our students with a quality, affordable education this fall.”
Additionally, the college is adding hundreds of additional online classes to its schedule.
LLCC has plans to resume in-person classes in addition to the remote and flex-option classes.
Current students who have already paid their full online class fee will receive an adjustment on their account.
It is not currently known whether this fee reduction will apply to any term in 2021.
More details on the fee reduction are available on Lincoln Land’s website.
