WITT (Heartland Newsfeed) — Following the resignation of Shawn Cady, the City of Witt deliberated in their November meeting on whether to hire a new city employee.

The council, under the employment committee of mayor Greta Akers and aldermen Tim Taylor and Brandon White, met Tuesday in an hour-long public special session to review the job description for the job opening in question, which became available following Cady’s departure last month.

Following the discussion which took place during the meeting, an ad will be placed in area newspapers soliciting for applications and resumes between Thursday, December 7 and Monday, December 18, with an application and resume deadline set for Tuesday, December 19 for review during the council’s December meeting.

The meeting would conclude at 8:00 p.m.
