Farmers destroy crops grown for restaurants, hotels

ORLANDO, Fla. (UPI) -- U.S. farmers have destroyed millions of pounds of perishable food like tomatoes, lettuce and green beans because growers lost a vast number of customers after the coronavirus pandemic struck.
