Two arrested in Nokomis drug bust

NOKOMIS -- A Nokomis woman and a Hillsboro man are in jail following a drug bust at a local business. Following an investigation stemming from an investigation, Nokomis Police served a search warrant on Wednesday, June 28. The warrant was serviced at Front Street Pub, 124 W. NOKOMIS -- Unclear citations were an item of concern during Monday's meeting of the Nokomis City Council. Terra Mills, who spoke on behalf of her father Brett Mills, is having difficulty understanding what is being required by the city regarding several of Mills' properties. Nokomis council makes two new hires

NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis City Council approved two new city employee hires during its regular meeting on Monday, Nov. 14. The opening for a full-time wastewater employee is now closed, following the hire of Jerome Taylor. The hire is in immediate effect and Taylor will start work this week. NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis City Council met in a special session on Thursday, Jan. 27 with the intent of hiring a new police chief. All commissioners were present with the exception of Michael Glenn.
