Nokomis council considers tree replacement at Johnson Park

NOKOMIS -- Two trees that have recently been cut down in Johnson Park in downtown Nokomis is being considered for replacement. The Nokomis City Council discussed the replacement during its regular meeting on Monday, Apr. 10. Nokomis council makes two new hires

NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis City Council approved two new city employee hires during its regular meeting on Monday, Nov. 14. The opening for a full-time wastewater employee is now closed, following the hire of Jerome Taylor. The hire is in immediate effect and Taylor will start work this week. NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis City Council met in its regular session on Monday, July 11. Among the issues on deck are ongoing complaints relating to the declining quality of its water. NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis City Council would approve $1,000 payments to seven of eight business applicants to the city's grant program. The program, directed at businesses struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was available for a short period of time.
