MLB cancels June series between Cardinals, Cubs in London

NEW YORK/LONDON (UPI) -- Major League Baseball on Wednesday canceled the 2020 London series between the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs, which had been scheduled for June, because of the coronavirus pandemic. Atlanta Braves, Ozuna agree to single year, $18 million contract

ATLANTA (UPI) -- The Atlanta Braves signed former St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Marcell Ozuna to a one-year deal, the team announced Tuesday. Ozuna, who helped the Cardinals beat the Braves in the playoffs last October, signed a one-year contract worth $18 million, according to the club. CLEVELAND/PITTSBURGH/HOUSTON/NEW YORK/MIAMI (UPI) -- The following contract options in Major League Baseball (MLB) were exercised and/or declined as of Saturday, November 4: Injuries shortened Michael Brantley's past two seasons, but the Cleveland Indians exercised his $11.5 million option for 2018 on Friday. The 30-year-old Brantley hit .299 with nine homers and 52 RBIs in 90 games this season.
