Investigation underway after St. Elmo shooting

ST. ELMO -- An investigation is underway by the Illinois State Police following an incident Saturday evening that resulted in a shooting in Fayette County. The Illinois State Police's Division of Criminal Investigations is investigating an incident that occurred in St. Elmo in the 2400 block of County Road 2150. Pana hospice organization honors veterans with pinning ceremonies

PANA (Illinois News Network) -- Veterans in hospice care are being honored by fellow vets with pinning ceremonies to commemorate their service in the armed forces. Rachael Flesch-Springate, volunteer coordinator for Quad County Hospice, which services Christian, Shelby, Fayette and Montgomery counties, said the center started the “No Veteran Will Die Alone” program in conjunction with the organization We Honor Veterans in June 2017. Pre-trial hearing set for Alexander Beccue October 31

VANDALIA (Heartland Newsfeed) -- Alexander Beccue waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday, September 6 in Fayette County Court and requested the matter be set at pre-trial status. Judge Don Sheafor granted the motions. Beccue and his attorney, Edward Deters, waived arraignment on all issues except punishment.
