vacations weekends Bil Gates

COMMENTARY: OK, we’ll bite. Why doesn’t Bill Gates believe we should take vacations and weekends off?

(Heartland Newsfeed) -- I have been reading a MarketWatch article "Bill Gates doesn’t believe that everyone should take vacations and weekends off" and have read it several times over for the past hour. I have to admit I am a bit confused about the deceptive headline alone. Microsoft co-founder and billionaire Bill Gates stated during a conference last weekend that "he didn't really believe in vacations" while building his tech giant from the foundation up. He was essentially stating before […]

Tesla missed their 2018 sales target, but does it matter?

Despite the fact the electric vehicle sales were up by more than 300 percent in California this last quarter, that wasn’t enough to help Tesla exceed its sales target. The company, based in Fremont, reported earlier this week that it had missed its sales estimate by around 1.5 percent, spooking investors who firmly believed that once the firm overcame its production issues, its sales would soar. Auto makers scaling back autonomous car promises at CES

With the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) kicking off Tuesday, we’re getting a sense of the kind of technologies that some of the world’s leading companies have planned for 2019 and beyond. It seems as if it’s just not ready for prime time yet. Whether the problem is […]

Anheuser-Busch orders 40 new electric Tesla semis

ST. LOUIS (UPI) -- To reduce its carbon footprint, beer maker Anheuser-Busch said Thursday it's ordered 40 new, fully electric Tesla semis equipped with a semi-autonomous pilot system. The company said the 500-mile-range hauler, unveiled last month, will be used for shipments within 150 to 200 miles of its brewery locations. Tesla CEO Elon Musk said last month the rig drives like a sports car and "will blow your mind clear out of your skull and into an alternate dimension." James Sembrot, Anheuser-Busch senior director of […]

Tesla shares drop after posting wider-than-expected loss

PALO ALTO, Calif. (CNBC) -- Tesla shares fell Wednesday after the company posted a wider-than-expected loss as it spent heavily to ramp up production of its Model 3, its first mass market electric sedan. Complications with Tesla's manufacturing processes have slowed production of the Model 3, a car widely considered key to Tesla's future success. Hopes for the Model 3 have helped propel Tesla's stock so far this year. But in a letter to shareholders, Tesla warned it expects to […]
