SPRINGFIELD -- Recently passed legislation in the Illinois General Assembly could result in a significant expansion of Springfield's premier events complex. Legislation greenlighting a proposed $93 expansion of the Bank of Springfield Center (BOS Center) could very well become a reality if signed by Gov. JB Pritzker. SPRINGFIELD (The Center Square) – Taxpayers paid nearly $187,000 for rentals and catered meals for members of the Illinois House earlier this month as lawmakers gathered at a convention center in Springfield rather than the Illinois State Capitol.
