Settlement relates to violation of state's Biometric Information Privacy Act

WHEATON, Ill. (The Center Square) – Another social media company has settled out of court after allegations it violated Illinois’ strict biometric laws. Pritzker announced Thursday even stricter rules for one region of the state and said state officials would be tracking down businesses throughout Illinois that don’t follow the added restrictions. Prosecutor drops felony charges against teen accused of eavesdropping

KANKAKEE (Illinois News Network) -- An Illinois teen won't face felony eavesdropping charges for recording a talk with a school principal after prosecutors decided to drop the matter Thursday after the case got national attention.
