The Senior Director will oversee the Office for Community Impact, which includes the development of CM’s community strategy, and including, but not limited to; community health needs assessment and implementation plan; the development, evaluation, and management of certain community health programs; adherence to regulatory requirements; and oversight of community data infrastructure and insights. The Senior Director is responsible for leading the efforts to identify and address the unmet health needs of children in the community, with a special emphasis on areas that align with Children’s Mercy’s Mission and Vision. This high-profile position provides leadership in planning, prioritization, organizing, supervising and evaluation of CM’s community initiatives. The Senior Director will act as the main point of contact between school leaders and community service organizations, and will lead the community engagement efforts that advance CM’s community-based initiatives. nn nn nn nn An ideal candidate for the Senior Director role will be an individual with extensive experience and a passion for leading community work within the Kansas City region. A successful candidate for this position will join us as we strive to create a workplace that reflects the community we serve, as well as our core values of kindness, curiosity, inclusion, team and integrity. nn nn nn nn The Senior Director for Community Impact: nn n Develops, executes, and monitors the Community Health Improvement Strategy and Community Implementation Plan for the Children’s Mercy system, which includes oversight of community data infrastructure, processes, and tools. n n Builds and manages strategic relationships with a broad base of constituents (including faith-based institutions, public officials, local government agencies, social service agencies, teachers and school leaders) to align resources, maximize impact, and achieve sustainability of community initiatives. n n Leads oversight of the CM portfolio of community investments. n n Leads a data-driven infrastructure that informs and guides CM’s community strategy. n nn nn nn The Senior Director for Community Impact has: nn n A Master’s Degree Public Health, Public Administration, or Healthcare Administration and 10+ years’ experience in community health improvement or population health work within a large health system or county health department. n n Knowledge and experience in conducting community-based health planning and programming with community health needs assessment experience. n nn n nn nnChildren’s Mercy hires individuals based on their job skills, expertise and ability to maintain professional relationships with fellow employees, patients, parents and visitors.
