Full-Time Assistant Store Manager

nnWhen you join our team as an Assistant Store Manager, youll take on key store management responsibilities including assisting with supervising day-to-day store activities, ensuring overall store performance, managing schedules, and developing operational action plans while identifying training opportunities to develop and grow the team.nn n nn Position Type: Full-Timen Average Hours: 38 hours per weekn Starting Wage:$23.50 per hournn n nnDuties and Responsibilities: nMust be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodationnn n nn Assists the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating resultsn Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to their direct reports to ensure mutual understanding and desired resultsn Identifies training and development opportunities that will assist their direct reports in achieving enhanced performancen Understands the overarching company strategy, as well as communicates and models the core values of the organization, to create a sense of teamwork and membership among employeesn Monitors the competitive environment within the community and informs the direct leader regarding adjustments necessary to maintain the companys competitive positionn Provides product feedback to the direct leader, including making recommendations regarding new items to carry or those that should be discontinuedn Participates in the interviewing process for store personnel n Communicates information including weekly information, major team milestones, developments, and concernsn Ensures store personnel adhere to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies to minimize lossesn Ensures an appropriate resolution of operational customer concerns in their direct leaders absencen Identifies and rectifies hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics and maintaining store equipment in proper working ordern Maintains store cleanliness standards and proper store signage at all timesn Assists the direct leader with maintaining proper stock levels through appropriate product orderingn Merchandises product neatly to maximize salesn Ensures the quality and freshness of products for sale and accuracy of product signagen Assists their direct leader with achieving the store payroll and total loss budget, inventory counts, and training new employeesn Supervises the day-to-day operations of their team, escalating issues to the appropriate level of support and/or leadership when necessaryn Ensures direct reports complete assigned responsibilities in a timely and effective manner to provide the highest level of customer service for the businessn Complies with all established company policies and procedures while upholding the security and confidentiality of documents and datan Other duties as assignednn n nnPhysical Demands:nn n nn Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving;
