WASHINGTON (UPI) -- After two extremely disappointing reports in August and September, the Labor Department on Friday said more than a half-million jobs were added to the U.S. economy in October -- soundly beating what most analysts had predicted. WASHINGTON (UPI) -- The U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention said Thursday it's investigating the cause of a salmonella outbreak that's sickened 419 people in 35 states.
