Watt the highest-paid defensive player in the NFL after the two sides reached an agreement on a multiyear contract extension Thursday. League sources told ESPN, NFL Media, and USA Today Sports that Watt agreed to a four-year, $112 million extension with the Steelers. INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis (Indy) was voted atop the 2021 preseason Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) football coaches’ poll, the league office announced on Friday. KANSAS CITY (UPI) -- The Kansas City Chiefs are re-signing veteran defensive end Alex Okafor to a short-term contract. CHARLOTTE, N.C. (UPI) -- Former New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. announced his retirement from the NFL on Friday after 14 seasons in the league.
