Abigail L. Martin DECATUR -- Although Abigail L. Martin is in the custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections, it appears trouble continues to follow. Martin, who has been held at the women's correctional facility in Decatur, is still due in court in several counties. However, it appears another county is on this list, as we are now discovering. Kyaw B. Tun BEARDSTOWN – The Illinois State Police (ISP) arrested a 37-year-old male from Beardstown Thursday for possessing child pornography. The arrest of Kyaw B. Tun comes from an ongoing investigation since August 2021 by the Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI). An initial investigation came in August 2021 after learning about a subject distributing child pornography via electronic means through an online platform. MOWEAQUA -- The Muddy Water Rendezvous in Moweaqua will be this Saturday and Sunday. Events will include tomahawk throwing, longbow shooting, black powder gun demonstrations, blacksmithing, woodworking, rug weaving, spinning wheel demonstrations, and a candy cannon. BLUE MOUND -- There has been an increase in domestic violence among adults and disciplinary issues among students. The concerns were presented by the police department in the latest meeting of the Blue Mound Village Board. There were 50 complaints in the past month, with 26 in Blue Mound and 24 in Macon. Illinois State volleyball player Kaitlyn Prondzinski announced her medically-imposed retirement from volleyball, according to a news release from ISU Athletics Wednesday. NORMAL -- A member of the Illinois State volleyball team is voluntarily entering medical retirement, according to the program Wednesday. Kaitlyn Prondzinski is retiring from the sport due to prior medical injuries which resulted in significant downtime in the 2020, 2021, and 2022 seasons. DECATUR – Richland Community College is days away from opening registration for the spring semester. Registration will open for current students, veterans, and the Basic Nurse Assistant course starting on Monday, October 17. PITTSFIELD – Illinois State Police (ISP) District 20 Commander, Captain Jody Huffman, announces the results of Occupant Restraint Enforcement Patrols (OREP) held in Adams County on August 29, September 2, and September 6.
