CHAMPAIGN COUNTY -- Voters in Champaign County will soon decide on a ballot measure on November 5 that seeks to double the existing public safety sales tax. The tax, currently set at 0.25%, under the countywide ballot initiative would double the existing tax to 0.50%. This would increase the tax for every $100 spent in the county from $0.25 to $0.50. NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis Public Library will be holding a tree dedication for former long-time Library Director Debra Lehman on Saturday, October 26.
