GRAFTON/SPRINGFIELD (Heartland Newsfeed) -- Rising flood waters along the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers in Jersey County is prompting the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice (IDJJ) to transfer operations from the Pere Marquette Youth Center near Grafton to the Alton Mental Health Center temporarily. COLUMBUS, Miss. (UPI) -- A 41-year-old woman died after being caught in a building that collapsed in Mississippi, becoming the first tornado death in the United States this year. New wind chill advisory issued for East Central Illinois

LINCOLN (Heartland Newsfeed) -- The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a new wind chill advisory for all of East Central Illinois except Ford and Iroquois counties. It starts at 8 p.m. Wednesday and goes until 12 p.m. Thursday. Wind chill readings could reach -25, leading to an increased risk for frostbite and hypothermia. So you should wear plenty of warm clothing while outside.
