Disney sued for collecting private information from children via game apps

BURBANK, Calif. (UPI) -- A class action lawsuit has been filed against Disney and three software companies for allegedly collecting personal information about children playing games on Disney apps. The suit says software companies Upsight, Unity and Kochava gathered information about children under the age of 13 via the internet, which could be a violation of federal law under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. Discovery to buy Scripps in deal valued at $14.6 billion

SILVER SPRING, Md./CINCINNATI, Ohio (Heartland Newsfeed) -- Discovery Communications Inc. said Monday they have reached an agreement to buy Scripps Networks Interactive Inc. in a cash-and-stock deal valued at $14.6 billion, including $2.7 billion of debt.
