WASHINGTON â€“ Conagra Brands, Inc. is recalling approximately 119,581 pounds of frozen beef products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) made the announcement Saturday. The product contains egg, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label. TAYLORVILLE -- A Kroger store in Taylorville was closed on Friday with all employees removed from the premises. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) issued a Seal Order against the grocery store located at 201 E. Bidwell St. The seal order was due to concerns relating to asbestos contamination. SPRINGFIELD -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is increasing the amount of funding available for the Spot Market Hog Pandemic Program (SMHPP). They expect to issue approximately $62.8 million in pandemic assistance payments to hog producers starting this week. SMHPP assists eligible producers who sold hogs through a spot market sale between April 16 and September 1 of 2020.
