SPRINGFIELD — 1st MidAmerica Credit Union announced last Wednesday the development of its newest branch in Springfield. The branch’s address will be 800 W. Stanford Avenue, next door to OnTrack Car Wash.
The development furthers the credit union’s commitment to meeting members where they are. It will also expand access to convenient, relationship-focused financial support with another location in Illinois.
The branch features a design that reflects the evolving needs of members while maintaining the personalized service that has defined 1st MidAmerica for over 90 years. The facility includes a modern member experience that will provide expanded service options and greater convenience.
“We are excited to establish a presence in Springfield and introduce 1st MidAmerica to a new market,” said Alan Meyer, 1st MidAmerica Credit Union President and CEO. “Springfield is a vibrant and growing community that aligns with our purpose. This new branch allows us to bring our member-focused approach, competitive products, and community commitment to more families and businesses throughout central Illinois.”
The Springfield branch is being developed in partnership with Keeley Construction. In addition to construction management expertise, Keeley has supported 1st MidAmerica through market analysis, site evaluation, facility planning, and project execution to help create a branch designed for long-term growth and member convenience.
The 4,500 square foot facility is expected to open in early Spring 2027.
Designed with technology and personal interaction in mind, the new location reflects 1st MidAmerica’s vision for modern branch banking. The architectural concept incorporates a welcoming lobby, collaborative spaces for financial conversations, technology-enabled service delivery, and distinctive exterior design elements intended to create a visible and lasting presence in the Springfield market.
“The Springfield branch represents more than a new building,” Meyer added. “It represents an investment in a community we believe in and a commitment to giving people a trusted financial partner focused on their success.”
Construction is currently underway. 1st MidAmerica and Keeley are working closely together to deliver a facility that supports both immediate member needs and future growth opportunities.
