Christmas, New Year’s holiday operating hours, deadlines

NOKOMIS — Operations for Heartland Media Group of Central Illinois & Eastern Missouri and Heartland Internet Media Networks will be suspended for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. The following are operating hours for Christmas week:

• Monday, December 22: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Tuesday, December 23: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Wednesday, December 24: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (but may close early)
• Thursday, December 25: CLOSED
• Friday, December 26: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (unless stated otherwise)
• Saturday, December 27: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Operations on Christmas Eve will result in a delayed opening due to the early delivery of the Shelbyville Eagle. Office operations may close early on Christmas Eve, depending on the completion of local Amazon deliveries.

There will be no Amazon deliveries on Friday, December 26, due to an observed Amazon holiday. Deliveries will resume on Saturday, December 27.

New Year’s holiday week operating hours

The following are operating hours for the week of New Year’s:

• Sunday, December 28: Office usually closed – Amazon operations only
• Monday, December 29: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Tuesday, December 30: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Wednesday, December 31: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (but may close early)
• Thursday, January 1: CLOSED
• Friday, January 2: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Saturday, January 3: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Similar to Christmas Eve, Shelbyville Eagle deliveries will take place in the early morning hours. Office operations may close early on New Year’s Eve, depending on the completion of local Amazon deliveries.

There will be no Amazon deliveries on New Year’s Day, as Amazon observes the holiday. Deliveries will resume on Friday, January 2.

Deadlines

The following are deadlines for all matters of business for both weeks:

• News and sports submissions: No later than 7 p.m. on December 23 for publication on December 24, 26, or 27 and December 30 for publication on December 31, January 2, or January 3.
• Advertising and legal notices: No later than 5 p.m. on December 23 for publication on December 27 and December 30 for publication on January 3.
• Obituaries: No later than 5 p.m. on December 23 for December 27 publication. All obituaries received after the deadline will be published on January 3.
• Print job requests: No later than 3 p.m. on December 22 or December 29. Print jobs might not arrive until after the new year.
