Delores May Stolte, 83, of Nokomis, died on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Dec. 9, 1938, in Nokomis to John and Grace (Altevogt) Stolte.
She went to Nokomis schools. A long-time member of First Baptist Church in Nokomis, she cleaned houses, did the ironing, and babysat for lots of family members.
A loving and caring woman who will be missed by many, she enjoyed watching Randy Orton on wrestling, loved watching Days of Our Lives, enjoyed cooking for her family and taking care of her bird, and loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.
She is survived by children Dale Lee Stolte Sr. of Nokomis and Lisa Marie Stolte of Nokomis, six grandchildren Dale (Delia) Stolte Jr. of Litchfield, Katrina Silvy of Witt, Daniel (MacKenzie) Oakley Jr. of Nokomis, Miranda Silvy of Witt, Dustin (Heather) Oakley of Irving, and Cheyenne (Ricky) Overla of Nokomis, seven great-grandchildren Deven Stolte, Sophia Overla, Isabella Wicker, Cooper Oakley, Dominic Stolte, Maddlynn Oakley, and Grace Stolte, sisters Norma Porter of Nokomis and Linda Zupanci of Nokomis, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Earl Stolte Sr. and Irene Morris.
Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home, Nokomis is in charge of arrangements, which are pending.
