Irene J. Morris, 86, Nokomis

Irene J. Morris, 86, of Nokomis passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Nokomis Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Irene was born June 5, 1935 in Pana to Grace (Altevogt) and John Stolte.

She married Arthur B. Morris on June 5, 1954 in Fillmore. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2016. She was the former owner of Rene’s Tap.

Services will be held Monday, January 24, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home, Nokomis with Rev. Myron Kirk officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.

She is survived by her children Ronald (Christine) Morris of Nokomis, Roger Morris of Ohlman and Susan (Kevin) Johnson of Taylorville, seven grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and sisters Linda Zupanci, Norma Porter, and Dolores Stolte, all of Nokomis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Earl Stolte.

Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home, Nokomis was entrusted by the family for arrangements.
