TAYLORVILLE — The following blotter has been reported by the Christian County Sheriff’s Department for the period of December 19, 2023 to January 4, 2024 and are as follows:
Dec. 20: Brock Drockton, 33, Carlinville, was arrested by deputies on an active Christian County warrant for failing to appear in court for possession of a controlled substance.
Dec. 21: Derrick Bell Williams, 34, Morrisonville, was arrested by Edinburg police for domestic battery and intimidation.
Jan. 10: Jeremy Cole, 43, Tower Hill, was arrested and transported to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department on an active warrant for unlawful possession of firearms and firearm ammunition.
Jan. 11: Tammy Barrett, 55, Pana, was arrested by Pana police for domestic battery.
Jan. 11: Kerri Moreland, 35, Springfield, was arrested on an active Christian County warrant for failing to appear in court for speeding 35+ MPH over the limit.
Dec. 19: Vehicles driven by Jaydin Snow and Michael Conlin, no ages or addresses reported, were involved in a traffic crash in Locust Township. The Conlin vehicle was traveling northeast on Illinois Route 29 and was slowing down to initiate a left turn onto 800N Road. The Snow vehicle was also traveling northeast on the highway and did not slow down in time and rear-ended the Conlin vehicle. No injuries were reported and Snow’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
Dec. 25: Lynn Dexheimer, no age or address reported, was eastbound on 350N at approximately 2150E when his vehicle hydroplaned and left the roadway. He was able to get the vehicle back on the roadway. There was minimal visible damage done to the vehicle, however the side curtain airbags did deploy. The vehicle was driven from the scene and no injuries were reported.
Dec. 28: Brent Getz, no age or address reported, was southbound on US Route 51 and attempted to make a left turn onto 400N Road. The vehicle took the turn too wide and came to rest nose-down in the ditch at the southeast corner of this intersection. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene and the driver was arrested for DUI.
Dec. 31: Mathieu Kuhns, no age or address reported, was eastbound on 1800N Road. The driver said an animal came out of the tree line on the north side of the roadway and he attempted to avoid it. He maneuvered left, then over-corrected right and slid into the south side ditch, hitting a utility pole and coming to a stop approximately 50-75 feet past the entry into the south side ditch. The vehicle was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.
Jan. 4: Vehicles driven by Ericka Moore and David Combs, no ages or addresses reported, were involved in an accident in Pana Township. Both vehicles were in the parking lot of the Blue Bell Tavern. The Moore vehicle was backing out of a parking spot and Combs’ was waiting for Moore to back out. Moore’s vehicle struck Combs and drove away. Both vehicles sustained cosmetic damage. Moore was unaware she hit the Combs vehicle.
