TAYLORVILLE — Published Court appearances reflect the daily 10:00 a.m. criminal call and do not necessarily account for all felony proceedings heard that day. Christian County Resident Judge Joshua Morrison from the Fourth Judicial Circuit presided over the following cases, which were heard on October 23, 2023.

  • Caleb J. Reber, 23CF152. (Five counts for delivering five or less grams of meth/ one count dismissed by motion of the state.) Pre-trial was rescheduled for December 9, 2023 at 9 a.m.
  • David E. Jones, 23CF55, 23CF28. (Possession of meth in an amount less than five grams; driving with a revoked or suspended license.) Pre-trial was held today and the defendant requests problem-solving court. The hearing will be January 16, 2023
  • Danny J. Lowis, 23CF114. (Criminal trespassing with a person present.) Pre-trial has will move forward to January 16, 2023.
  • Donald R. Minard, 21CF342. (Sexual exploitation of a child that is thirteen years or younger/ Unfit to stand trial/ return to active, resisting a peace officer, firefighter, or corrections employee/ Unfit to stand trial/ return to active.) A hearing for a status on fitness will be on January 16, 2023.
  • Charlene L. Ray, 21CF17, 23CF124. (Two counts for the possession of five or fewer grams of meth/ thirty months of probation with fifty hours of community service.) The petition to revoke probation hearing will be on January 16, 2023.
  • Larry L. Scott, S06656, 17CF194. (Murder with intent to kill or injure/ forty-five years in the Department of Corrections with credit for 456 days served; aggravated battery involving the discharge of a firearm/ dismissed; aggravated discharge of a firearm while in a vehicle/ dismissed; reckless discharge of a firearms/ dismissed; murder with a strong probability to kill or injure/dismissed.) A status hearing was held today and an update on post convince hearings will be on January 16, 2023
  • Louquaris J. Sullivan, 23CF99. (Aggravated battery of a peace officer.) An update on pre-trial proceedings was heard and the next pre-trial is on December 14, 2023.
  • Allison M. Grothaus, 22CF120. (Theft of display merchandise in an amount under $300 with a previous conviction.) The defendant received a notice to appear and the state motioned to dismiss the case.

  • Justin M. Mc Kay, Y19666, 20CF282. (Possession of less than five grams of meth, sentenced to nine years in the Department of Corrections with credit for 140 days served.) The defense withdrew the motion regarding the pre-trial fairness act. Pre-trial was continued to December 28, 2023.
  • Lacey J. Austin, 23CF9, 23CF127. (Theft of display merchandise in an amount less than $300; residential burglary.) Pre-trial was continued to January 5, 2024.
  • Jacob A. Bright, 22CF245. (Aggravated battery in a public place.) An additional pre-trial hearing was scheduled for December 29, 2023.
  • Dale R. Detmers, 20CF199. (Possession of five or fewer grams of meth, two years of probation.) The court heard a petition to revoke probation and an additional pre-trial was scheduled to confirm defendant compliance on January 23, 2024.
  • Tatiana D. Fisher, 22CF251. (Aggravated battery of a peace officer; mod action involving violence.) Pre-trial was heard and the defense rejected the plea offer. The final pre-trial was set for Jan 23, 2023, and the jury trial is scheduled for February 23, 2024.
  • Samantha C. Olivio, 22CF41, 22CF113, 22CF265, 23CF12. (Possession of meth in an amount under five grams/ served 262 days in jail with credit for four days served, thirty months of probation; robbery while armed with a firearm/ charge amended or reduced; robbery/ served 262 days in jail with credit for 131 days served, thirty months of probation; residential burglary; theft taking unauthorized control of a property worth between $500 and 10k; unlawful possession of a credit or debit card.) The petition to revoke probation pre-trial was rescheduled for Oct. 27, 2023.
  • Wesley E. Rogers, 22CF2. (Possession of five to fifteen grams of meth; attempting to flee an officer; driving with a revoked or suspended license; felon possession or use of a firearm; driving fifteen to twenty miles over the speed limit; operating an uninsured motor vehicle; improper traffic lane usage; transport or carry alcohol while driving.) A status on pre-trial hearing will be on November 9, 2023.
  • Tyler J. Sigretto, 20CF136 (Possession of five or fewer grams of meth/ served ten days in jail with credit for five, two years of probation.) Today was a status on treatment hearing. The petition to revoke probation hearing was rescheduled for November 21, 2023.
  • Jack L. Skinner, 22CF209, 23CF79 (Two counts for possessing five or fewer grams of meth; resisting a peace officer, corrections employee, or firefighter.) Pre-trial was continued for a hearing regarding a treatment court referral on December 12, 2023.
  • Bobbie J. Abberley, 22CF237 (Possession of less than five grams of meth.) The plea hearing was forwarded to November 28, 2023.
  • Wade M. Bottoms, 23CF167. (Category two armed violence; possessing less than five grams of meth.) The first appearance was held today. The public defender was appointed and the state motioned for conditions regarding release. The court granted release conditions based on the pre-trial release fairness act. The next hearing is set for December 1, 2023.

  • Lucas A. Fenton, 23CF71. (Delivering between fifteen to 100 grams of meth.) Pre-trial was forwarded to November 21, 2023.
  • Joseph F. Sherman, 23CF161. (Criminal sexual assault of a victim between the age of thirteen and seventeen who is under their supervision/ charge amended or reduced; aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim over the age of five.) The final pre-trial was confirmed for November 11, 2021. The defendant petitioned for home confinement while he awaits trial was denied.
  • Robert A. Abberley, 18CF5. (Criminal damage to government property in an amount less than $500/ Guilty, served forty days in jail with credit for two days served, serving two years probation.) The petition to revoke probation hearing was held today. The plea hearing will be on November 9, 2023.
