CHICAGO — The Buy-In preshow for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door kicked off Sunday night with tag team action from the United Center.
Hirooki Goto and YOSHI-HASHI from Bishamon faced off against The Factory’s QT Marshall and Aaron Solo.
Kevin Kelly, Excalibur, and Taz were on commentary. NJPW ring announcer Katsuyori Shibata handles ring introductions alongside AEW’s Justin Roberts.
Goto and HASHI, who are former IWGP tag champions, entered a sold-out United Center, as well as The Factory. This is the duo’s first appearance in AEW.
The action started in the ring with YOSHI-HASHI and Solo. Solo took action early, taking the wind of HASHI’s sails.
Marshall’s greeting to the ring comes with chants of “QT sucks!” from the crowd. Goto took down Marshall with a single hard chop before quickly tagging HASHI.
The duo got in their double team “war drumps” on both members of The Factory. However, the heels would soon gain the advantage after Marshall hit the ugliest-looking Flying Space Tiger Drop ever. Solo would follow that with a double stomp off the top of Goto’s stomach.
Goto would later reverse a suplex attempt from Solo and turn Marshall inside out with a vicious lariat.
HASHI got the tag and took down Marshall with a Head Hunter (top rope blockbuster) for a near fall.
Solo sent both Goto and HASHI to the floor, hitting a tope con hilo before tossing HASHI back into the ring.
Marshall hit a cutter following a pair of enziguris. However, Goto made the save. Marshall then attempted a failed 450 splash.
HASHI took down Solo via a dropkick to the knees, while Goto took out Marshall with the ushigoroshi. Both Goro and HASHI hit a double-team finish for the pinfall
Winner: Bishamon via pinfall (8:54)
