Per Brandon Thruston of Wrestlenomics, the June 8 broadcast drew 939,000 viewers. This is down from last week which drew 969,000 viewers.
Dynamite drew a 0.34 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. That is down from a 0.4 share last week.
Dynamite finished atop cable original demos despite competition from the ABC broadcast of the NBA Finals. This is based on statements from Showbuzz Daily.
The show featured the AEW debut of New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Will Ospreay as well as members of the United Empire faction. It would also feature opening action for the All-Atlantic Championship tournament. Finally, Jon Moxley defeated Kyle O’Reilly to advance to Forbidden Door on June 26.
Moxley will face an opponent to be determined for the Interim AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door. The winner will eventually face current champion CM Punk at a later date in a unification match.
