AEW provides tentative release of video game

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Details are emerging regarding the upcoming All Elite Wrestling (AEW) console video game. This includes an impending and likely release date.

The tentative internal release date for the upcoming AEW video game is set for late September. This is according to a report from Fightful Select (subscription required).

There is still work to do on the game until then. However, the plan has long existed to release the game in 2022. Moreover, September is the month of wide regard for the release of new games.

The report indicates the release date was of utmost importance due to it coming sooner than later. As a result, some AEW talent were told they may have arrived too late for game inclusion. Of course, this doesn’t mean that they won’t be available as downloadable content (DLC) in the future.

The date is still tentative, as there is a publisher still pending. Things could very well shift between now and September.

The AEW game will include a story mode, with an imminent deadline for certain music to be slated for inclusion.
