Bruce Edward Fenton Sr., 75, of Hillsboro passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Hillsboro Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.
Bruce was born February 20, 1946 in St. Louis County, MO to the late Willis Alva and Viola Louise (Hicks) Fenton.
He married Linda Lee Friesland, and they later divorced. He then married Barbara Ann (Morrell) Whitlow on October 10, 1987, in Hillsboro. She preceded him in death on May 12, 2020.

Bruce had worked as a school custodian for the Hillsboro School District and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro.
He is survived by son Bruce Edward (Angela) Fenton Jr. of Mt. Clare, step-children Bob (Tina) Whitlow of Pawnee, Bill (Patty) Whitlow of Witt, and Karen (Jeff) Dozier of Springfield, eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and siblings John William (Alice) Fenton of Hillsboro, Melinda Ann (Larry) Guinn of Hillsboro, and Nellie Moore of Port Charlotte, FL.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by siblings Alva Lee Fenton, Gloria June Clayton, and Vada Carter, and brother-in law Sam Moore.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 at noon at Bass-Patton-Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro with Rev. Jeff Hemken officiating.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Hillsboro.
