Ruth Paul Billiter, 98, of Pana passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022 in Hickory Estates, Pana.
She was born June 12, 1923 in Pana to the late Louis and Agnes (Hoyer) Paul.
She married Harold Billiter in 1973 and was a housewife for several years. He preceded her in death in 2000.

Ruth entered nurses training at Evangelical Hospital in Chicago and in 1944 joined the U.S. Army Nurse Corps. She served in Germany as a First Lieutenant and was a nurse for 30 years. She was a member of the United in Faith Church, Pana.
Ruth is survived by her stepchildren Phil (Jan) Billiter and Harry (Ilene) Billiter, step son-in-law Kenneth (Debbie) Flesch, step-grandchildren Ryan Billiter, Lynn Perryman, Kevin Perryman, Tammy Casner, Theresa Kile, Tonia Cothern, Harry Billiter, Roy Billiter, Dale Beeson, Randy Flesch, Alysia Feeney and Rachael Gilbert, many great-grandchildren, and special friend Rosemary Horsthemke.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her stepdaughter Sandra Flesch and step-grandson Chad Billiter.
Per Ruth’s wishes, there will be a private family service with Pastor Leon Goff officiating.
Memorials in Ruth’s honor may be made to United in Faith Church, P.O. Box 78, Pana, IL 62557 and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
