ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — While Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) was holding its recent pay-per-view in Atlantic City, some recognizable faces were present.
All Elite Wrestling (AEW) talent Lio Rush was booked last minute in a three-way match. Rush, who was signed to AEW on September 29, faced Alex Zayne and Ninja Mack in the match. Zayne got the pinfall on Mack to take the win in a match that ran 11:09.
Joey Janela and Marko Stunt, also from AEW, were in a tag match against Chris Dickinson and Starboy Charlie. The match ends in nearly 17 minutes via pinfall after Charlie hits the brainbuster on Stunt.
Thunder Rosa, another AEW star, was part of the seven-way scramble match as the surprise entrant. In a match that ran nearly 12 minutes, Rosa was quite impressive but fell short in the end. Jimmy Lloyd won the match.
Following a terrible trios match where Second Gear Crew (Mance Warner and Matthew Justice) and AJ defeated Alex Colon, G-Raver, and AKIRA, SGC cut a promo. Warner stated that there were no tag teams to live up to him and Justice.
In comes, Ring of Honor Wrestling (ROH) Legends Jay and Mark Briscoe to answer the challenge.
Jay took the mic and made his intentions clear and in as few words as possible. Simply put, The Briscoes wanted tag team gold and have sights on the GCW tag team titles.
The title match could occur as early as their Aftermath show tonight. Currently, that is not official as of press time.
Finally, AEW star and current GCW World Champion Jon Moxley won a title defense against Nick Gage. Moxley and Gage had their moments in offense, but it was Moxley who secured the victory via a Paradigm Shift through a sheet of glass on Gage.
