How could they book Fenix upon returning to AEW TV?
Meteormoric rise to Lucha Brothers vs. Young Bucks for tag title gold
Fenix’s absence has been felt in AEW, as his tag partner has been alternating in tag matches. Sometimes he would be in matches with Death Triangle member PAC. More recently, he’s been in matches with Eddie Kingston, including a recent challenge for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. Perhaps the AAA World Tag Team Champions have something to say about Matt and Nick Jackson’s holding the titles hostage. This is especially true since the Young Bucks won them off FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) in November. The two tag teams have faced off many times, with the last faceoff being at AEW All Out in 2019. How soon they bring Fenix to TV will depend on this storyline being pursued.Singles feud with Andrade
Another direction that could be pursued is a singles feud with Andrade “El Idolo”. Arguably the best luchadors in the world, this could be a proving ground opportunity for Fenix or Andrade. The end game: being the best luchador in the world. Should this be a booking decision, it could very well become a Match of the Year finalist. It should also be noted that fans have been calling for this since Andrade signed with AEW. Do you have any other booking recommendations for Rey Fenix’s return to AEW television?
