UPDATE: SiriusXM music channels announced for limited-time run

On Thursday, we published an article from United Press International regarding the launch of new music channels. However, these channels are available for a limited time. Additionally, some of these channels are available on your SiriusXM radios while others are available exclusively online

SiriusXM will launch a new collection of music channels dedicated to Prince, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and other artists on Friday.

The satellite and online radio company announced plans Wednesday for nine channels featuring curated music from Prince, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, David Bowie, the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, George Strait, and Guns N’ Roses.

The channels will feature career-spanning songs, greatest hits, and exclusive content, including rare tracks and personal insights. SiriusXM is offering free access to its full lineup of content to listeners in North America through May 31 on its app.

“It’s like catching lightning in a bottle for SiriusXM to be able to offer authorized channels from these iconic artists, not only to our subscribers, but at a time when our app is free to everyone,” SiriusXM president Scott Greenstein said in a press release. “These channels, combined with our already incredible set of artist-dedicated channels, makes SiriusXM the ultimate audio destination to bring fans closer to the artists they love, and at a time when people can use some great music.”

  • The David Bowie Channel is on channel 726. (Online/SiriusXM app)
  • The Eagle Channel is available on channel 780. (Online/SiriusXM app)
  • Fleetwood Mac Channel is available on channel 743. (Online/SiriusXM app)
  • George Strait Radio is available on channel 779. (Online/SiriusXM app)
  • Guns N Roses Radio is available on channel 742. (Online/SiriusXM app)
  • Led Zeppelin Radio is available on channel 27. (All platforms)
  • Mandatory Metallica is available on channel 730. (Online/SiriusXM app)
  • The Prince Channel is available on channel 30. (All platforms)
  • Rolling Stones Radio is available on channel 717. (Online/SiriusXM app)

In conclusion, the SiriusXM app is available on multiple platforms. However, it is not limited to iOS and Android. Additionally, it is available on most smart TVs, gaming platforms, and supported receivers.
