BLOOMINGTON (Heartland Newsfeed) — For the first time ever, an entire Libertarian slate has been invited to participate in endorsement interviews with Illinois’ largest newspaper.
These interviews held the editorial board decide who to endorse in November’s general election.
Lex Green, 2010 gubernatorial nominee and immediate past chairman of the Libertarian Party of Illinois, participated in the interview.
Comptroller candidate Claire Ball will be making her second appearance following her 2016 showing in the special election for the office.
The interviews begin in late August and will run through the end of September.
The Chicago Tribune editorial board endorsed former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson, the Libertarian nominee for President of the United States.
Jake Leonard, a broadcast media and journalism veteran, is the editor-in-chief of Heartland Newsfeed. Leonard is also GM and program director of Heartland Newsfeed Radio Network, wrestling editor and contributing writer for Ambush Sports, a contributing writer for My Sports Vote and Midwest Sports Network, and a former contributor to Bleacher Report and Overtime Heroics.
